Bob Marley Dream

Last night I had a dream about Bob Marley. I was at some sort of head shop and I was looking at necklaces ( my favorite ever accessory). I had picked out the one I wanted to buy but as I looked at it closer I realized that it was damaged somehow. I went up to the first person I saw (Mr. Marley) I didn't realize at the time that it was him, but then someone said his name, and I then got all excited. I talked to him a little while (don't remember what about...dream talk is so forgettable) but he got me a new necklace and I just remember feeling such great energy coming from him he was so intoxicating and kind. It was overall a pretty sweet ass dream if I do say so myself!

I am pretty sure as to why Bob Marley appeared in my dream although I am not sure what he is suppose to symbolize or represent. But yesterday Dave and I went to the Moreno Valley mall to see Gran Torino (very good movie btw) and we were walking around the mall hanging out. There is this awesome store called One Love Reggae Shop, it has Bob Marely shirts up the ass and I always want to go in but every time there is never anyone in there except for the very grumpy dread-locked headed man working there. He glares at me every friggin' time, even the one time I gave him a little smile! It sort of bugs me that he works in a store that is pretty much dedicated to Bob Marley when Bob Marley was all about acceptance, tolerance, and love for others and this guy clearly does not want to be bothered by anyone....hey dude, go work somewhere else where you don't have to deal with people, maybe you'll be happier and I won't have to deal with your negative energy and I can finally own a good Marley shirt...errr!

"We should really love each other in peace and harmony, instead we're fussin' n fighting like we ain't supposed to be" - Bob Marley

"Me only have one ambition, y'know. I only have one thing I really like to see happen. I like to see mankind live together - black, white, Chinese, everyone - that's all" - Bob Marley

Jaaasonnnnn!

My husband is totally obsessed with Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. You know the one with the hockey mask and machete that goes around Camp Crystal Lake hacking up fornicating teenagers. Well, I knew very well when I met him 7 years ago that he had a strange connection to the character? He had a tattoo of him on his arm...lol. I accepted that. But this has gone too far. His collection is allowed in our bedroom only and now it is being overrun by this masked figure. We have 2 very long shelves filled completely with Jason, but I am starting to notice Leatherface and Freddy Krugar sneaking in a few places here and there. Our walls are filled with autographed pictures and 7" figures.

Now as I've said I am a bit of a horror movie fan myself. On Friday February 13th my husband put together a huge viewing party through his work in which over 50 people showed up along with actors dressed up as Jason, Freddy, and Leatherface, for the opening of the new Friday the 13th movie. He also had an awesome 1957 Chevy limo show up to escort the actors, himself, and his boss to the movie theatre where we all waited and cheered for them as they got out. It was a blast. All that I can handle but I am seriously about to lose it if I have to wake up another morning with a hockey mask staring me down!

What's your sign?!

So just recently I made some bookmarks incorporating the 12 different signs of the zodiac using pinup girls to capture each one of the signs. I'm pretty happy with them. I definitely believe in astrology 100% and I think it can really help us learn about who we are and why we instinctively do the things we do.

I found the wonderful shop, aromacandlesonline, in the etsy chatroom the other day and really loved their zodiac candles. They mix certain scents to make the perfect candle for each sign. The candle I am thinking of getting (Cancer, shown below) has the scents of sandalwood and oak moss in a mystical refreshing base of fruits, oriental florals, neroli, amber and musks. Yum! Sounds definitely like a smell for me!

Along with astrology I have been really into Palm Reading. I have wanted to get this done for such a long time but I am a little apprehensive about it. I have a very strong feeling that, like handwriting analysis, which I love, that palm reading will also unlock secrets which I may not be ready to uncover. But TheCaravan, one of my all time favorite Etsy shops, does two different palm readings, a basic and in depth...the other day I had the in depth reading in my shopping cart which includes a "reading will be written and bound for keepsake and sent back to you, to keep for future reference! A blessing and healing will be done for the person receiving the reading." then I wussed out...IDK, I am frightened! But her shop is absolutely amazing.
